Summary:
This role focuses on developing FPGA-based post-silicon validation IPs for high-speed communication protocols. The engineer will design reference transceivers, define protocol-specific test cases, and support end-to-end validation through close collaboration with software and validation teams.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled FPGA Developer to join our protocol validation team. The role focuses on developing and validating FPGA-based IPs and reference transceivers for post-silicon validation of high-speed communication protocols. The candidate will work across RTL design, hardware bring-up, and lab validation, collaborating closely with software and validation teams to ensure comprehensive system-level coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop FPGA-based post-silicon validation IPs for testing high-speed communication protocols.
Analyze, understand, and interpret protocol specifications such as MIPI, LVDS, DDR3/DDR4, and USB.
Define and execute functional and timing test cases in accordance with protocol standards.
Emulate transmitter and receiver behavior to enable comprehensive validation coverage.
Design, implement, and validate reference transceivers to support protocol testing.
Develop interposer boards to interface FPGA platforms with Devices Under Test (DUTs).
Perform RTL design, verification, debugging, and validation of transceiver systems.
Collaborate with software and application teams to align on system-level validation use cases.
Provide technical guidance and support to application developers and validation engineers.
Qualification:
Proven experience of 3+ years in FPGA/RTL development with a B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics, Electrical, or a related specialization.
Strong expertise in FPGA architecture, development flows, and toolchains (preferably Xilinx).
Proficiency in RTL design using Verilog and/or VHDL.
Solid understanding of digital design fundamentals, clocking, and timing analysis.
Hands-on experience with FPGA synthesis, place-and-route, and bitstream generation.
Experience in RTL debugging and hardware bring-up activities.
Practical experience using lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers for debugging and validation.
Experience developing test harnesses, Bus Functional Models (BFMs), and self-checking testbenches.
Good to Have:
Familiarity with MIPI protocols, DDR interfaces, and USB.
Experience designing custom interposer boards or hardware interfaces.
Exposure to Test & Measurement workflows and post-silicon environments.
