Bringing Up New Platforms

A board with no software on it and a fast-approaching launch date. We write the bootloader, drivers, and firmware that bring it to life, and the application layer that puts it to work.

Building Real-Time Control Systems

A system that holds its timing in the lab and drops it under real load, and nobody on the team has debugged a jitter problem quite like this one before. We build software that holds its timing guarantees under load, not just in the lab, tuning memory and execution performance until it does.

Custom-Hardware Interfacing

New silicon from your hardware team, and no driver yet that talks to it reliably, with a schedule that's already counting on it working. We write the kernel and device drivers, DMA and interrupt-driven, that make the connection work.

Migrating and Modernizing

An end-of-life RTOS, a costly proprietary license, or a codebase nobody wants to touch anymore. We move you to a modern platform, firmware or desktop application, without breaking what already works.

Building Test and Validation Infrastructure

Firmware shipping without independent verification, and gaps between what your test tools cover and what the product still needs to prove. We build the test automation, HIL rigs, and validation infrastructure that closes it.

Connectivity and Field Updates

A device already out in the field, with no way to fix a bug in it except physically. We build the connectivity, OTA, and self-maintenance that lets you fix it remotely instead.

Why Soliton

We only do the software. We don't design your board or your hardware, so we're not trying to sell you more of it.

Hardware-first mindset.

We debug at the hardware and software boundary, buses, interrupts, timing, not only in the IDE. When a platform needed custom Linux-kernel drivers over PCIe with no off-the-shelf tooling to even see into the problem, we built the drivers and the tooling both.

Full-stack in one team.

Bring-up, drivers, RTOS, connectivity, apps, and test, from a single accountable squad. When one platform's RTOS reached end of life, the same team carried it from the kernel driver to the finished application, no handoff in between.

Quality as a default.

CI/CD, static analysis, and automated regression ship with every engagement. We brought coding-standard gating and automated build and deploy to a VxWorks codebase that had none of this before.

Long-haul partners.

We stay through field escalations, migrations, and multi-year product lines. One engagement started as field support on a legacy system and became a full modernization, same team, both phases.
